Showtime Legacy Theatre proudly unveils its inaugural season, Inheritance & Identity — a bold and unflinching exploration of legacy, culture, and the truths that shape who we are. This season is a powerful reflection of the stories we carry, the battles we inherit, and the identities we forge in the face of adversity. Through a dynamic lineup of groundbreaking productions, including the world premiere of BACKBONE, the soul-stirring musical revue Night of Legends, August Wilson’s timeless masterpiece The Piano Lesson, the vibrant and contemporary Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, and the electrifying Johnny Sizemore’s Monologue Slam, we invite audiences to experience theatre that is rich in culture, fearless in voice, and rooted in authenticity.

This is more than a season — it is a declaration. A commitment to honoring the past, amplifying the present, and inspiring the future of Black storytelling. The legacy continues.

At Showtime Legacy Theatre, our impact goes beyond the stage and into the heart of our community. This June, we’re proud to host our Pamper Princess Party — a special day dedicated to uplifting and empowering young girls.

Each participant will enjoy professional hair, makeup, and nail services, creating a full pampering experience designed to make them feel confident, seen, and celebrated. More than just a makeover, this event is about building self-worth, inspiring confidence, and reminding every girl that she is beautiful and powerful.

Because true legacy is built by pouring into the next generation.
